Tesco Kulim, (Tamil : டெஸ்கோ )short for Tesco Kulim Shopping Mall, construction began on 15 Sep 2010, marking the official commencement of construction for Tesco Hypermarket in Kulim, Kedah. The store is erected on 6.5 acres at Lembah Impiana, Kulim. The 2-story hypermarket with a total gross floor area of 323,000FS consist of 8,000m2 mall and 6,000m2 sales area.[1]. Tesco Kulim is one of the five hypermarkets worth RM400mil invested by Tesco Stores (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. This store add to more than RM3bil already invested in Malaysia. Unitech is appointed by Tesco Malaysia as the Project Quantity Surveyor for this commercial project. The Store is completed by second quarter of 2011 and opened on 21 April 2011.
